1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Farmers Marketplace ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use Farmers Marketplace, you must:

• • Be at least 18 years old
• • Have legal capacity to enter contracts
• • Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law
• • Provide accurate and complete registration information

3. User Accounts

Your Responsibilities:

• • Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials
• • Notify us immediately of unauthorized account access
• • Ensure all listing information is accurate and lawful
• • Respond to buyer inquiries in a timely manner

4. Listing Products

When posting products for sale:

• • You warrant you have legal right to sell the items
• • Descriptions and images must be accurate and not misleading
• • Prices must include all applicable taxes and fees
• • Prohibited items include: illegal goods, weapons, counterfeit products, endangered species

5. Transactions & Payments

Buyer Protections:

• • Inspect items upon delivery before completing payment
• • Use our secure payment system for buyer protection
• • Report issues within 48 hours of delivery

Seller Protections:

• • Payment released after buyer confirmation of receipt
• • Dispute resolution process for contested transactions
• • Protection against fraudulent chargebacks with proof of delivery

6. Fees & Commissions

• Listing products is free for basic accounts

• Premium features and promoted listings incur fees as displayed

• Transaction fee of 3% applies to completed sales (capped at ₦5,000)

• All fees are non-refundable except for platform errors

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• • Use automated tools to scrape data or spam users
• • Attempt to circumvent platform fees or security measures
• • Impersonate another person or entity

8. Intellectual Property

• Platform content (logos, design, software) is owned by Farmers Marketplace

• User-generated content (listings, reviews) remains your property but grants us license to display

• You warrant your content doesn't infringe third-party rights

9. Limitation of Liability

Important: Farmers Marketplace is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to transactions and do not guarantee:

• • Quality, safety, or legality of items listed
• • Truthfulness of listings or user representations
• • Ability of sellers to deliver or buyers to pay
• • That transactions will be completed successfully

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• • Violate these Terms or applicable laws
• • Engage in fraudulent or harmful activity
• • Receive multiple valid complaints from other users

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified via email or platform notice.
